Youthful and Supple Skin Is Just an Ayurvedic Skin Cream Away

Age, pollution and cosmetics can slowly damage your skin, making it look leathery and dry. Over time, you will develop deep wrinkles, dull spots and dark circles, which can alter the way you look and make you look older than you actually are.

While pharmaceutical formulations do help reverse some of the damage, they also pose the danger of further harming your skin in other ways. Many beauty products and skin rejuvenating creams contain strong chemical compounds, which can be quite abrasive on sensitive skin. Using them too often may lead to skin irritation and in extreme cases, contact dermatitis.

One effective way of avoiding this problem is by choosing skin care products that have been developed using organic and natural ingredients. This is where Kerala Ayurveda steps in. We are a holistic healing and wellness centre and we have over seven decades of experience formulating completely natural, ayurvedic skin creams and whitening agents for men and women of all ages.

Our proprietary products have been designed keeping in mind various skin types and the bespoke requirements of customers of different age groups. Contact us for more information.

What Ayurveda teaches us about our skin

According to Ayurveda, human beings can have one of three doshas (body constitution or energy) – Vatta, Pitta or Kapha. Your skin’s health and vitality is inherently affected by the dosha you have.

Vatta

In Ayurveda, Vatta is characterized by the elements of Wind and Ether – elements which can easily be swayed from one state to another.

People with this dosha have bodies that are more susceptible to imbalances in nutrients and energies. Their skin is extremely delicate, almost flaky and they are the most vulnerable to wrinkles during youth. Vatta skin type individuals are also very susceptible to conditions like eczema and dermatitis. They need lots of water, oil and other serums to keep their skin hydrated and healthy.

Understanding how delicate your Vatta skin is, can help you select the best ayurvedic medicine for skin rejuvenation.

Pitta

Pitta is the dosha that is characterized by fire and water. The people with a pitta body have constitutions that are always acidic or bodies which overheat very easily. This is why pitta skin type individuals often are very vulnerable to skin irritation, inflammation and redness.

Just as fire heats and changes the colour of everything it touches, the pitta skin is often red and prone to pigmentation, dark spots and rashes. These people often have freckles, which sometimes get darker with age.

Kapha

The Kapha dosha is characterized by Earth and Water. The water in their constitution makes Kapha skin very oily; and just as the Earth absorbs the things that settle on it, Kapha skin tends to absorb dust particles more easily and clogs-up the pores. This is why many people with Kapha skin type have dull skin, riddled with blackheads and whiteheads.

This clogging-up of the pores makes Kapha skin extremely susceptible to acne and fungal infections. You will need to select the right ayurvedic fairness cream for oily skin to reduce this dullness, unclog the pores and  prevent skin infections.

Choosing the best ayurvedic face cream for oily skin, dry skin and combination skin

Understanding how your body functions and how it affects your skin, can help you set-up a skin care regime that actually works for you.

For example, Vata skin types can really benefit from using gentle ayurvedic skin whitening products that contain milk & grains, plus warm clay masks for moisturizing. Products that contain nuts and fruit extracts too can infuse hydration and nutrients to their delicate skin.

Pitta skin types will find ayurvedic skin creams that contain grape seed, coconut, lavender & rose extract, neem, sandalwood and sunflower to be really healing; since they cool the skin and reduce irritation and inflammation.

Kapha skin types will notice an immediate reduction in blackheads & whiteheads when they use products that contain natural citrus extract.  A product containing ingredients like peppermint, sesame, yarrow, ginger or apple cider can become the best ayurvedic product for skin that is too oily. It can control oil production and make the skin more balanced.

The most experienced Ayurveda practitioners will know how to treat combination skin as well. At Kerala Ayurveda, we are proud to present our extensive selection of ayurvedic skin care products, such as Ayurveda skin cream, anti ageing ayurvedic cream and much more..
