Obesity is caused due to a sedentary lifestyle. If you eat more and you are unable to burn the calories that you eat, then there are chances of you becoming obese. Genes play a role in obesity because if there is someone with a family history of obesity, then there is a higher likelihood of them becoming obese. Certain medicines can cause obesity and certain diseases such as PCOS can cause obesity. Hormones can cause obesity too.
Sinusitis can be caused due to certain medical conditions. People who have diseases related to the immune system are more likely to get chronic sinusitis. If you suffer from certain allergies that cause inflammation then there is a chance that you will get sinusitis. Fungal, bacterial, or viral respiratory tract infections can cause chronic sinusitis. A deviated nasal septum can cause sinusitis to develop because of sinus passage blockage. Nasal polyps can cause sinusitis too.
High cholesterol levels are caused due to unhealthy diet and obesity. People who do not exercise regularly can have high cholesterol levels too. Your genes contribute to your cholesterol levels too. People who have diabetes have a high level of cholesterol. Smoking is a risk factor as it can cause high cholesterol levels. As you age, your chances of having high cholesterol levels in your body increase because your liver becomes unable to effectively remove LDL cholesterol.
Fatty liver disease can be caused by genes. People who have high blood sugar are more prone to getting fatty liver disease. Over-consumption of alcohol causes fatty liver. Insulin resistance causes fatty liver disease and so does a high level of triglycerides in your blood. If you are obese then you are more likely to get fatty liver disease. Other causes of fatty liver disease include infections, toxin exposure, rapid weight loss, and pregnancy. It can be caused due to particular medicines too.
Atherosclerosis is caused due to high blood pressure, obesity, smoking, and high levels of cholesterol. It can be caused due to inflammation such as lupus or arthritis. Various risk factors make you prone to atherosclerosis. Not eating a sufficient amount of fruits and vegetables can cause atherosclerosis. If you get stressed easily, don’t exercise enough, and are obese then you are more likely to get atherosclerosis.
Indigestion is caused by digestive conditions such as constipation, gastritis, gallstones, intestinal blockage, celiac disease, stomach cancer, and intestinal ischemia. It can be caused by the inflammation of pancreas and peptic ulcers. Indigestion is caused by anxiety, overeating, and eating spicy foods. Ayurveda’s View OnKapha Imbalance
The kaphadosha is in charge of ensuring that your body’s structure and the lubrication is being done correctly at all times. Kapha is responsible for controlling tissue formation. In Ayurveda, seven dhatus or tissues make up your entire body. These are fluids, blood, fat, muscles, bones, marrow, and tissues related to reproduction. All of these are essential for the proper functioning of your body. Whenever there is an imbalance in kapha it is obvious because you will experience problems in your structure.
An excess of kapha is reflected in your body with a host of different disorders and diseases. Ayurveda states that making changes to your diet can impact the kapha imbalance. You should include heating spices such as ginger, cumin and chilli in your diet. You should eat freshly cooked meals to balance your kapha. In addition, you can eat honey regularly and focus on the consumption of dry and warm foods. You should avoid drinking beverages that are too hot or too cold. You can have warm drinks or those that are at room temperature.
You should start eating lots of vegetables and fruits. You can safely consume most beans when you have a kapha imbalance. For example, you can consume tofu that has been cooked well. You can have warm soy milk as well. You should make note that Ayurveda encourages eating in a peaceful place. Turn off your TV and be mindful when you are eating. This will have lasting benefits. You should try and eat your meals at the same time every day. This routine helps to balance kapha. You should breathe deeply once you are done eating your meal.
You can consume dairy products but make sure that you choose low-fat milk. It is recommended that you boil milk before you drink it. The boiling process makes the milk easy to digest which is beneficial for you. Drinking warm milk can help balance kapha. Having milk as a small meal is recommended rather than having it with another meal. You can consume most grains without fear. However, you should limit how much rice and wheat you are consuming because they can increase kapha and increase the imbalance.
When there is kapha imbalance, there are certain things that you should avoid. You should avoid eating red meat, foods that are deep-fried, and foods that are cooling in nature. You should not overeat and you should stay away from cold drinks or carbonated drinks at all times. You should not indulge in processed foods as these can cause further aggravation of kapha. You should avoid eating salty and sour foods. Eating sweet foods is not recommended either when you have kapha imbalance. Alcohol is a strict no-no as well in Ayurveda as it affects kapha balance negatively.
According to Ayurveda, to balance your kapha, you need to exercise vigorously. This should be done for a short period every single day. You should make a timetable wherein you wake up early and go to sleep early. Instead of staying and home and doing the routine stuff, you should immerse yourself in new experiences. This will help balance kapha and be beneficial for you. You should stay in warm and dry temperatures whenever possible as this helps to keep your kaphadosha balanced as well. You should focus on stimulating your mind and body always.
