Sinus problems develop due to sub-doshas of vata and kapha known as prana vata and shleshaka kapha respectively. When these are imbalanced at the same time then ama gets involved too. In addition to this, if the imbalances are further increased due to eating excessive foods of one type, then it can lead to other respiratory problems.
