Tonsillitis is a common childhood infection that can strike at any age, and it is typically diagnosed in individuals between the ages of three and mid-teens. High fever, swollen tonsils, and a painful throat are among the most common symptoms. Many common viruses and bacteria can cause tonsillitis, and the infections that cause it can spread to other people. Microorganisms that can cause tonsillitis include streptococcal bacteria. Without treatment, strep throat-related tonsillitis can cause serious problems.

Laryngitis

Inflammation of the vocal box is called laryngitis (larynx). This organ is in the rear of your throat in the upper neck. Acute or short-term laryngitis can last for fewer than three weeks. Alternatively, it could be chronic (long-lasting), lasting over three weeks.
